  1. Products

    ​Products liability involving automobiles, trucks, vehicles of all kinds, construction machinery and materials, chemicals, drug pharmaceutical, sporting equipment, toys, tools, structures and structural devices, railroad car dividers, valves, electrical components and machines such as computerized equipment, loading docks, food products, grinders, saws, machines and mechanical devices of all kinds.

  2. Transportation

    ​Transportation liability involving automobiles, trucks, railroads, and pleasure and commercial watercraft resulting from claims of personal injury, property damage or economic loss.

  3. Construction

    ​Construction liability involving various professions, general contractors, architects, subcontractors and owners in injury and property damage claims as well as those for economic loss including negligence, contract, and statues affecting construction.

  4. Warranty

    Warranty liability involving automotive manufacturers, foreign and domestic, and automotive dealers under federal fee shifting statutes sued as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and state lemon law and other fraud enactments.

  5. Premises

    Premises liability involving landlord-tenant, hotel and innkeepers from slips and falls in vestibules to actions for civil rape and everything in between.

    ​Professional liability involving attorneys, architects, engineers, accountants, insurance agents and brokers, investment counselors, financing institutions, real estate brokers, officers and directors, physicians, dentists, podiatrists, nurses, medical technicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and medical institutions such as hospitals, clinics and nursing homes.

  1. Employer

    Employer liability involving claims of wrongful discharge, racial, sexual, age and other discrimination, failure to provide benefits and wrongful discipline based upon federal and state statutes and regulations as well as common law and contract.

  2. Commercial

    ​Commercial liability involving claims of breach of contract, breach of warranty, product disparagement, advertising liability, trademark and trade name infringement, violations of contract and statute involving sales representatives and manufacturers’ representatives, enforcement of or defense against non-competition agreements, partnership dissolutions and actions for accounting, creditors’ rights litigation in bankruptcies, and civil disputes generally arising from commercial activity including defamation (both slander and libel).

  3. Insurance

    ​Insurance liability involving coverage disputes, claims of bad faith refusal to settle claims, contract claims arising out of premium disputes, representation of premium financing institutions, general contractual liability disputes on behalf of primary, excel and reinsurers, regulatory disputes involving such insurers, and construction and application of various statutes and regulations affecting such insurers.

  4. Environmental

    We represent clients in the defense of complex environmental litigation matters. We are experienced in the evaluation of toxic exposures and the analysis of environmental laws and regulations. We handle claims arising from a variety of diverse circumstances including personal injury, property damage, construction , and real estate litigation. We have successfully handled cases involving exposure to asbestos chemicals, agricultural chemicals, petrochemicals, and other toxic chemicals. We are also involved in litigation relating to hazardous waste clean up, storm waste management, and surface and ground pollution. We represent clients in Cook, Madison, McLean, Lawrence and Crawford counties in Illinois, and St. Louis city, Missouri.

  5. Public Finance

    ​Public Finance actively participated as bond counsel, underwriter’s and placement counsel and borrower’s counsel in numerous transactions involving state, county, city and 501(c)3 entities.

  6. Real Estate

    Real Estate liability arising out of contracts, deeds, wills, governmental taking, affectings commercial and residential properties, condominiums and easements.
